Remove/Install

 

 

 Danger!

Risk of death caused by falling
from vehicle roof. Risk of injury
to other persons caused by
falling objects during work in roof
area.

Perform work on and in area of
vehicle roof only with suitable
aids (ladders, scaffolding,
assembly platforms).Sufficiently
secure working area

Open vent window (1)

Unscrew bolt (2) from outside

Completely open vent window
(1)

 

 

4

Unhook vent window (1) from rail
downward

 

 

5

Install in the reverse order

Remove

Remove roller sun blind

On left center vent window

Press paneling (1) in direction of
arrow

 Carefully press paneling (1)

in direction of arrow to prevent
damaging the paneling (1) 

 Until caps are accessible

Remove caps from bolts (2)

Remove felt strips (3)

Unscrew bolts (2)

Remove vent window (4)

 

 

Install

 

 

 

Clean sealing surfaces on vent
window (4) and vehicle, remove
sealant residues if necessary

Apply sealant to sealing surfaces
on vent window (4)

 Use suitable sealant

Install vent window (4)

Screw in bolts (2)

Install felt strips (3)

 Carefully press paneling (1)

in direction of arrow to prevent
damaging the paneling (1)

Install caps on bolts (2)

 Carefully press paneling (1)

in direction of arrow to prevent
damaging the paneling (1)

 

 

 

 Until caps are accessible

Install left center vent window
sun shade

leakage

Remove sealant from high roof

 

 

Install

Install sealing frame (2)

Apply sealant

Remove

area when moving doors, covers,
flaps and components. Wear
protective gloves

Open left bottom center vent
window (1)

Pull sealing rubber (3) out of
window frame (2)

 

 

Install

Insert sealing rubber (3) into
window frame (2) starting in
center at bottom

 Do not stretch or shorten

sealing rubber (3), otherwise it
can retract after installation,
resulting in leakage

 

 

 

 Spray sealing rubber (3) with

lubricant to facilitate installation.
