MWI-30 < COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS > FUEL LEVEL SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT FUEL LEVEL SENSOR SIGNAL CIRCUIT 2WD 2WD : Description INFOID:0000000001110136 The fuel level sensor (main) detect the fuel level in the fuel tank and transmit the fuel level sensor signal to the 2WD : Component Function Check INFOID:0000000001110137 1. CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL Select the “Data Monitor” for the “METER/M&A” and compare the “FUEL METER” monitor value with the fuel Does monitor value match fuel gauge reading? YES >> INSPECTION END NO >> Replace combination meter. 2WD : Diagnosis Procedure INFOID:0000000001110138 1. CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL 1. Turn ignition switch ON. 2. Check voltage between combination meter harness connector terminal 34 and ground. Does it match fuel gauge reading? YES >> GO TO 2. NO >> Replace the combination meter. 2. CHECK FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT 1. Turn ignition switch OFF. 2. Disconnect combination meter connector and fuel level sensor unit (main) connector. 3. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector terminal 34 and fuel level sensor unit 4. Check continuity between combination meter harness connector terminal 34 and ground. Is the inspection result normal? YES >> GO TO 3. Fuel gauge indication position (segment illu- mination position) Monitor value [lit] 13/13 Approx. 64 10/13 Approx. 53 7/13 Approx. 41 4/13 Approx. 19 0/13 Approx. 2 34 – Ground : JSNIA0322GB 34 – 4 : Continuity should exist. 34 – Ground : Continuity should not exist. |
