Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Screw (Qty: 27) 

Tighten: 2 N.m (18 lb in)

Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Assembly 
Tip: 

1. Prior to removal of the trim panel from the carrier assembly, note the 

routing of the wiring to aid in reassembly.  

2. Disconnect electrical connections.  

3. With the aid of an assistant, remove the trim panel from the vehicle.

Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (with RPO SLT) or 
Knee Bolster Replacement (without RPO SLT).

Headlamp Switch Trim Plate Assembly 

Procedure 

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.  

2. If replacing the trim plate, transfer the switches as needed.

1. Tilt the steering wheel to its lowest position.  

2. Remove the instrument panel left air outlet. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Air 

Outlet Replacement - Left Side (without RPO SLT) or Instrument Panel Outer 
Air Outlet Replacement - Left Side (with RPO SLT) .  

3. Remove the instrument panel center trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Center
