1 USE OF THE MANUAL

Before using the helmet, you must carefully read the documentation and any integrations thereof

that comes with the product. The documentation is an integral part of the product and must be kept

throughout the lifespan of the helmet.
The AGV User Manual consists of two volumes, one general volume extended to the whole of the range

helmets and one for the specific helmet model.
Dainese S.p.A. reserves the right to make changes to the product and to the respective documen-

tation without notice. To make sure that you have the documentation in the most recent update

available, contact an AGV Service Centre.
The products shown in the images are considered to be indicative and may differ from the product

purchased.

4.4 MICRO-OPENING

A working position which, whilst keeping the

visor closed, creates a gap which allows for a

moderate influx of air into the helmet.

Prerequisite: the visor is open.

→

Lower the visor until the plastic hook (

) en-

gages the open button (

) at the first click.

If necessary, facilitate this engagement by

lightly pressing the open button (

Prerequisite: the visor is closed.

→

Press the open button (

) and, in a single ges-

ture, push the edge of the visor upwards until

the plastic hook (

) engages the open button

at the first click.

4.2 REMOVAL

Prerequisite: the visor is in the fully open position.

Start the operation on the right-hand side visor

mechanism.

Pull the spring catch slider (

) and

move the visor (

) away from the shell.

•

Repeat the operation on the visor mechanism

on the left side.

→

The visor is detached and removable.

4.3 INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: start the operation on the right-hand

side visor mechanism.

Pull out the spring catch slider (

Fasten the spring catch slider to the raising/

lowering bush (

•

Repeat the above operations on the left-hand

side visor mechanism.

→

The visor is now attached. Check that it is ro-

tating correctly.

4.1 OPERATING POSITIONS

Visor closed

Visor in micro-opening position (cfr. 4.4)

Visor open

When riding, it is always advisable to keep

the visor completely closed.

If the helmet is not used for a long time, it

is advisable to leave the visor in the mi-

cro-open position.

5 LUBRICATING OIL

Applying silicone oil to the visor mechanism prevents the onset of corrosion and both-

ersome creaking.

Prerequisite: the helmet is placed on one of its two sides.

•

Remove the visor (see 4.2).

•

Apply a moderate amount of oil to the visor mechanism of the helmet.

•

Wipe off any excess oil with a cloth.

•

Replicate the operations on the visor mechanism on the other side of the helmet.

→

Install the visor (see 4.3).

In case of contact with skin, wash thoroughly with plenty of soap and water. In case of

contact with eyes, wash with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If swallowed,

seek medical advice. In case of inhalation, breathe in fresh, open air. Avoid exposure to

sunlight. Store in a dry place at a temperature below 50°C. Keep out of the reach of

children and animals.

Do not allow the product to penetrate into the soil/subsoil. Do not allow product to reach

surface water and/or sewage systems. Keep contaminated washing water contained and

dispose of it appropriately. In case of penetration into watercourses, soil or sewage

systems, inform the relevant authorities. Suitable material for collection: absorbent

material, organic material, sand. Do not litter the container in the environment.

4.5 ADJUSTING

THE FASTENING

You can adjust the movement of the engagement

tooth, thereby changing the travel of the button

and the pressure required to open the visor.

Prerequisite: the visor is installed and open, and the

helmet is resting on a flat surface. Perform this op-

eration with a Torx T7 screwdriver.

•

Unscrew the screw.

•

Adjust the movement of the plastic engage-

ment tooth (

1; arrow

) as desired.

→

Tighten the screw, making sure that the visor

closes securely.

6 TEAR-OFFS

Tear-offs allow you to protect the visor from

organic debris that may be deposited on it

whilst riding. They are designed to be applied

all together: once the outermost one has be-

come dirty, you can remove it and find a clean

one already in place underneath.
The tear-offs are applied to the two eccentric

pawls on the visor, which facilitates their

mounting and tensioning.
The tear-offs are shaped with a specially

extended edge to allow them to be easily

gripped and removed, even whilst the helmet

is being worn.

6.1 INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: the helmet is resting on a flat surface

with the visor assembled and closed.

Ensure that you have removed the two pro-

tective films applied to each side of the

tear-off.

•

Rotate the eccentric pawls towards the front of

the helmet (

1; arrow

•

Apply the tear-offs, placing the special-

ly-shaped removal edge (

) on the side of the

helmet you prefer.

→

Rotate the eccentric pawls towards the rear

of the helmet (

3, arrow

), thus stretching the

tear-offs over the visor.

6.2 REMOVAL

Prerequisite: the helmet is resting on a flat surface

with the visor assembled and closed.

•

Rotate the eccentric pawls (

1; arrow

) towards

the front of the helmet.

→

The tear-off is no longer under tension and can

be removed.

7 PINLOCK

ANTI-FOG LENS

A device made from a hydrophilic plastic with anti-fog characteristics capable of

absorbing moisture.
By precisely inserting itself into the specially-shaped slot on the inner surface of

the visor, it creates an air pocket that limits the onset of fogging without affecting

the field of view.

Anti-fog devices delay the formation of condensation but do not guarantee that the

phenomenon will not occur. This device delays the onset of the phenomenon. Therefore,

under extreme environmental conditions, the visor may still fog up.

We always recommend the use of Pinlock

lenses with air temperatures below 20°C

and/or humidity levels above 70% and/or in the rain.

7.2 REMOVAL

Prerequisite: the visor is removed from the helmet (see 4.2).

•

Slightly stretch the visor, grasping it at the ends (

arrows

Lift the lens (

) from its lower central part, then release it from the pins (

) on the visor; first

on one side, then on the other.

→

The lens is now detached. Remove it.

The Pinlock

lens should be handled with care and without the use of tools that could

scratch it or abrade its surface.

7.1 INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: the visor is removed from the helmet

(see 4.2) and has been thoroughly cleaned. The lens

is resting on the inner surface of the visor, aligned

with the silicone gasket in contact with the visor.

•

Slightly stretch the visor, grasping it at the

ends (

arrows

•

Attach the lens (

) to the pins (

) of the visor;

first on one side, then on the other.

•

Ensure that the silicone gasket (

) of the lens

adheres perfectly to the visor along its entire

length.

→

Remove the protective film from the lens and

install the visor on the helmet (see 4.3).

7.3 PRETENSIONING

Consult the illustrative document included in the package of the Pinlock

120 lens.

8 CHEEK PADS

8.1 REMOVAL

Prerequisite: sit down and place the helmet upside-down on your knees. Unfasten the retention

system and start the operation on the right-hand side.

•

Slide your hand inside the helmet between the cheek pads and the polystyrene shell, then

release the three snap buttons (

) that secure the cheek pad to the polystyrene shell.

•

Pull on the cheek pad until the attachment blade (

) is released from its red plastic slots (

There are two on each side of the helmet.

•

Remove the cheek pad by releasing it from the retention system (

) using the retention

system housing (

•

Repeat the previous operations on the left-hand side.

→

The cheek pads are completely detached, and you can now remove them.

8.2 INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: sit down with the helmet upside-down on your knees. Start the operation on the

right-hand side.

•

Insert the cheek pad into the shell, then insert the retention system (

) into the retention

system housing (

) in the cheek pad.

•

Insert the cheek pad attachment blade (

) between the outer shell and the polystyrene shell,

securing the shaped edge to its red plastic slots (

•

Attach the cheek pad to the polystyrene shell by fastening the three snap buttons (

•

Repeat the previous operations on the left-hand side.

→

Check that the cheek pad is securely attached.

We recommend attaching the cheek pad first to the rear, then to the front.

11 360° ADAPTIVE FIT

The kit, in combination with the upper foams of the crown pad, allows you to customise

the setup and fit of the helmet on the head according to the riding style you adopt.

Please refer to the illustrative document included in the package of the 360° Adaptive Fit.

9 CROWN PAD

9.1 REMOVAL

AND INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: sit down with the helmet upside-down

on your knees.

→

To remove the crown pad, unfasten the two

front (

) and the rear (

) snap buttons.

→

To install the crown pad, fasten the two front

(

) and the rear (

) snap buttons.

Before removing the crown pad, make

sure that all the snap buttons have been

unfastened to avoid pulling on the seams

of the fabric parts.

Removing the crown pad is easier if the

cheek pads and wind protection have been

removed from the helmet beforehand.

10 WIND

PROTECTION

10.1 REMOVAL

Prerequisite: sit down with the helmet upside-down

on your knees.

→

To remove the wind protection, pull it by grasp-

ing its central area, then detach it from the

helmet by pulling out the plastic hooks. First

the side ones (

), then the central ones (

10.2 INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: sit down with the helmet upside-down

on your knees.

To install the wind protection, install the plas-

tic hooks in their slot inside the chinguard. First

the central ones (

13 NOSEGUARD

13.1 REMOVAL

Prerequisite: sit down with the helmet upside-down

on your knees.

Grasp the noseguard and detach it from its

slot, first releasing the side connection teeth

), then the central one (

13.2 INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: sit down with the helmet upside-down

on your knees.

→

Hook the noseguard into its slot, first inserting

the central connection tooth (

), then the two

side ones (

14 RESCUE PULL SYSTEM

To be used only in an emergency following an accident, the RPS allows for the rapid

removal of the cheek pads by first-aid personnel.
The mechanism works by way of two red straps placed below the cheek pads and con-

nected to the snap buttons that attach the cheek pads to the polystyrene shell. By pull-

ing on the straps, the snap buttons are released, thus allowing for the cheek pads to be

removed without first removing the helmet from the user's head.

14.1 ACTIVATION

Prerequisite: the helmet wearer is lying on the ground in a supine position.

•

Unfasten the retention system.

•

Pull on the two red straps - first one, then the other - until you feel the snap buttons release.

→

The cheek pad is now released from the helmet and can be removed.

Gently remove the cheek pad by moving the user's head as little as possible.

Never pull the red emergency straps whilst riding.

Do not remove the cheek pad via the RPS for maintenance.

Use only original AGV cheek pads.

Use the RPS only in an emergency.

12 HYDRATION

12.1 INSTALLATION

The operation is easier if the wind protection

has been removed beforehand (see 10.1).

Prerequisite: use a Phillips-head screwdriver and sit

down with the helmet upside-down on your knees.

Insert the plastic tube (

) into the cheek pad,

then pull it out through the relevant opening

) in the seam of the fabric at the edge

of the cheek pad.

Connect the plastic tube with the rubber

16 NOISE PROTECTION CAPS

Supplied as standard, these provide excellent insulation from the noise of even the

loudest motorcycles.

Noise protection caps may only be used during use on the track.

17 PRO SPOILER

17.1 REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Prerequisite: use a Phillips-head screwdriver and sit down with the helmet upside-down on

your knees.

To remove the spoiler, unscrew the central plastic screw (

) and the two side screws (

). Take

care not to lose the spacer washers.

To install the spoiler, tighten the central plastic screw (

the spacer washers between the screws and the spoiler.

4.4 MICROAPERTURA

Posizione di lavoro che, pur mantenendo la

Abbassare la visiera fino a che il gancio pla-

4.2 RIMOZIONE

Prerequisito: la visiera è in posizione di totale aper-

tura. Iniziare l'operazione sul il meccanismo visiera

del lato destro.

Tirare il cursore di aggancio a molla (

4.3 INSTALLAZIONE

5 OLIO LUBRIFICANTE

L'applicazione dell'olio al silicone sul meccanismo visiera evita l'insorgere di corrosio-

ne e scricchiolii parassiti.

Prerequisito: il casco è poggiato su uno dei due lati.

•

Rimuovere la visiera (cfr. 4.2).

•

Applicare una moderata quantità di olio sul meccanismo visiera.

•

Rimuovere con un panno la quantità di olio in eccesso.

•

Replicare le operazioni sul meccanismo visiera dell'altro lato del casco.

→

Installare la visiera (cfr. 4.3).

In caso di contatto con la pelle, lavare abbondantemente con acqua e sapone. In caso di

contatto con gli occhi, lavare abbondantemente con acqua e consultare un medico. In caso

di ingestione, consultare un medico. In caso di inalazione, respirare aria aperta. Evitare

l'esposizione ai raggi solari. Conservare in un luogo asciutto e a una temperatura inferiore

a 50°C. Conservare al di fuori della portata di bambini e animali.

Impedire la penetrazione del prodotto nel suolo/sottosuolo. Impedire il deflusso del pro-

dotto nelle acque superficiali e/o nella rete fognaria. Trattenere l'acqua di lavaggio conta-

4.5 REGOLAZIONE

DELLA CHIUSURA

È possibile regolare l'avanzamento del dente di

ingaggio, modificando così l'affondamento del

pulsante e la pressione necessaria all'apertura.

Prerequisito: la visiera è installata e aperta, e il ca-

sco poggiato una superficie piana. Operare dotandosi

di un cacciavite Torx T7.

Svitare la vite.

•

Regolare a piacere l'avanzamento del dente

plastico di ingaggio (

Avvitare la vite, verificando che la visiera si

chiuda saldamente.

6 PELLICOLE

TEAR OFF

Le pellicole tear off consentono di proteggere

la visiera da detriti organici che vi si possono

depositare durante la marcia. Sono pensate

per essere applicate tutte insieme: una volta

che quella esterna si sia sporcata, è possibile

rimuoverla disponendo già di una pulita.
Le pellicole si applicano sui due nottolini ec-

centrici applicati sulla visiera, che ne agevo-

lano il montaggio e il tensionamento.
Le pellicole sono sagomate con un margine

appositamente allungato per consentirne la

presa e la rimozione anche a casco indossato.

6.1 INSTALLAZIONE

Prerequisito: il casco è poggiato su una superficie

piana con visiera assemblata e chiusa.

Accertarsi di avere rimosso le due pellico-

le protettive applicate su ciascun lato del

tear off.

Ruotare i nottolini eccentrici verso l'anteriore

del casco (

1; freccia

•

Applicare le pellicole tear off, disponendo il

margine sagomato per la rimozione (

) sul lato

del casco che si preferisce.

Ruotare i nottolini eccentrici verso il posteriore

del casco (

), tendendo così le pelli-

cole tear off sulla visiera.

6.2 RIMOZIONE

Prerequisito: il casco è poggiato su una superficie

piana con visiera assemblata e chiusa.
