Selecting the item

Touch an item to select . To select the “Audio” key, touch the “Audio” key on the screen. Touch the “BACK” key to
return to the previous screen.

Adjusting the item

Touch the “+” key or the “

⫺” key to adjust the settings of an item. Touch the up arrow to scroll up the page one

item at a time. Touch the down arrow to scroll down the page one item at a time.

Inputting characters

Touch the letter or number key. There are some options available when inputting characters.

123/ABC

Changes the available character set to numbers.

Space

Inserts a space.

Delete

Deletes the last inputted character with one touch. Touch and hold the “Delete” key to delete all of the
characters.

OK

Completes the character input.

Touch-screen maintenance

If you clean the display screen, use a dry,
soft cloth. If additional cleaning is neces-
sary, use a small amount of neutral deter-
gent with a soft cloth. Never spray the
screen with water or detergent. Dampen
the cloth first and then wipe the screen.

Touch this key to adjust the appearance of the display.

Brightness

Adjusts the brightness of the display.

Display Mode

Adjusts to fit the level of lighting in the vehicle. Touch key to cycle through options. “Day” and “Night” modes are
suited for the respective times of day while “Auto” controls the display automatically.

Scroll Direction

Adjusts the direction of the menu scroll. Choose to either move up or down.

Clock

Touch this key to adjust the time.

Time Format

The clock can be set to 12 hours or 24 hours.

Date Format

Select from five possible formats of displaying the day, month, and year.

Clock Mode

Adjust the mode for the clock. “Auto” uses the system’s GPS to automatically maintain the time. “Manual” allows
you to set the clock using the “Set Clock Manually” key.

Set Clock Manually

Adjust the clock manually, Touch the “+” or “-” keys to adjust the hours, minutes, day, month and year up or down.
“Clock Mode” must be set to manual for this option to be available.

Daylight Savings
Time

Adjusts the daylight savings time on or off.

Time Zone

Choose the applicable time zone from the list.

Language

Touch this key to change the language on the display.

Camera Settings

Touch this key to change the camera settings.

Display Mode

Touch this key to select the touch-screen display mode (day, night, or automatic).

Brightness

Adjust touch-screen brightness.

Contrast

Adjust touch-screen contrast.

Color

Adjust touch-screen color.

Touch this key to change the temperature unit being displayed (Fahrenheit or Celsius).

Touchscreen click

Toggles the touch-screen click feature on or off. When activated a click sound will be heard every time a key on the
screen is touched.

System Beeps

Toggle the system beep tones feature on or off. When activated, a beep sound will be heard when a pop-up mes-

sage appears on the screen or a button on the unit (such as the

button) is pressed and held for two

seconds.

Return to Factory Settings/Clear
Memory

Touch this key to return all settings to default and to clear the memory.

Software Licenses

Touch this key to display software licensing information.

Traffic

Touch this key to display traffic settings. For additional information, refer to the separate NissanConnect® Owner’s
Manual.

SXM

Touch this key to start SiriusXM® radio. For SXM setup, refer to “Audio system” in this section.

BUTTON

To change the display brightness, press
the

button. Pressing the button again

will change the display to the day or the
night display.
If no operation is performed within 5 sec-
onds, the display will return to the previous
display.

Press and hold the

button for more

than 2 seconds to turn the display off and
show the clock, press the button again to
turn the display back on.

WARNING

Failure to follow the warnings and in-
structions for proper use of the Rear-
View Monitor system could result in se-
rious injury or death.

∙ RearView Monitor is a convenience

feature and is not a substitute for
proper backing. Always turn and look
out the windows and check mirrors to
be sure that it is safe to move before
operating the vehicle. Always back up
slowly.

∙ The system is designed as an aid to

the driver in showing large stationary
objects directly behind the vehicle, to
help avoid damaging the vehicle.

∙ The distance guide line and the ve-

hicle width line should be used as a
reference only when the vehicle is on a
level paved surface. The distance
viewed on the monitor is for reference
only and may be different than the
actual distance between the vehicle
and displayed objects.

CAUTION

Do not scratch the camera lens when
cleaning dirt or snow from the front of
the camera.

The RearView Monitor system automati-
cally shows a rear view of the vehicle when
the shift lever is shifted into the R (Reverse)
position. Press the CAMERA button (if so
equipped) while in the R (Reverse) position
to cycle through guideline options. The ra-
dio can still be heard while the RearView
Monitor is active.

To display the rear view, the RearView Moni-
tor system uses a camera located just
above the vehicle’s license plate

Indicates the predicted course when oper-
ating the vehicle. The predicted course
lines will be displayed on the monitor when
the steering wheel is turned. The predicted
course lines will move depending on how
much the steering wheel is turned and will
not be displayed while the steering wheel is
in the straight-ahead position.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PREDICTED
AND ACTUAL DISTANCES

The displayed guidelines and their loca-
tions on the ground are for approximate
reference only. Objects on uphill or downhill
surfaces or projecting objects will be actu-
ally located at distances different from
those displayed in the monitor relative to
the guidelines (refer to illustrations). When
in doubt, turn around and view the objects
as you are backing up, or park and exit the
vehicle to view the positioning of objects
behind the vehicle.

Backing up on a steep uphill

When backing up the vehicle up a hill, the
distance guide lines and the vehicle width
guide lines are shown closer than the actual
distance. Note that any object on the hill is
further than it appears on the monitor.

Backing up on a steep downhill

When backing up the vehicle down a hill, the
distance guide lines and the vehicle width
guide lines are shown farther than the actual
distance. Note that any object on the hill is
closer than it appears on the monitor.

Backing up near a projecting
object

The vehicle may seem to nearly clear the
object in the display and the predicted
course lines

HOW TO PARK WITH PREDICTED
COURSE LINES (if so equipped)

WARNING

∙ If the tires are replaced with different

sized tires, the predicted course lines
may be displayed incorrectly.

∙ On a snow-covered or slippery road,

there may be a difference between
the predicted course line and the ac-
tual course line.

∙ If the battery is disconnected or be-

comes

discharged,

the

predicted

course lines may be displayed incor-
rectly. If this occurs, please perform
the following procedures:

– Turn the steering wheel from lock

to lock while the engine is running.

– Drive the vehicle on a straight road

for more than 5 minutes.

∙ When the steering wheel is turned

with the ignition switch in the ACC po-
sition, the predicted course lines may
be displayed incorrectly.

safe before parking your vehicle.

ADJUSTING THE SCREEN

The procedure for adjusting the display
settings of the screen differs depending on
the type of screen present on the vehicle.

For vehicles without Navigation System

1. Firmly apply the brake and place the

shift lever in R (reverse)

2. Press the ENTER/SETTING button.

3. The screen will display the Brightness

settings.

4. Turn the TUNE/FOLDER knob to adjust

the setting up or down.

5. Press

complete the adjustment.

NOTE:

Do not adjust the display settings of the
RearView Monitor while the vehicle is

For vehicles with Navigation System

1. While on a RearView Monitor screen,

touch the touch-screen display. The
Camera Settings screen will come up.

2. Touch the Display Settings key.

3. Touch the “Brightness,” “Contrast,” “Tint,”

“Color,” or “Black Level” key.

4. Adjust the item by touching the + or —

key on the touch-screen display.

NOTE:

Do not adjust the display settings of the
RearView Monitor while the vehicle is
moving.

HOW TO TURN ON AND OFF
PREDICTED COURSE LINES
(models with Navigation System)

To toggle ON and OFF the predicted course
lines while in the P (Park), D (Drive) or N
(Neutral) positions:

1. Press the CAMERA button.

2. Touch the Predicted Course Lines key

to turn the feature ON or OFF.

To toggle ON and OFF the predicted course
lines while in the R (Reverse) position:

1. Touch the touch-screen display.

2. Touch the Predicted Course Lines key

to turn the feature ON or OFF.

REARVIEW MONITOR SYSTEM
LIMITATIONS

WARNING

Listed below are the system limitations
for RearView Monitor. Failure to operate
the vehicle in accordance with these
system limitations could result in seri-
ous injury or death.

∙ The system cannot completely elimi-

nate blind spots and may not show
every object.

∙ Underneath the bumper and the cor-

ner areas of the bumper cannot be
viewed on the RearView Monitor be-
cause of its monitoring range limita-
tion. The system will not show small
objects below the bumper, and may
not show objects close to the bumper
or on the ground.

Models with navigation system

∙ Objects viewed in the RearView Moni-

tor differ from actual distance be-
cause a wide-angle lens is used.

∙ Objects in the RearView Monitor will

appear visually opposite compared to
when viewed in the rearview and out-
side mirrors.

∙ Use the displayed lines as a reference.

The lines are highly affected by the
number of occupants, fuel level, ve-
hicle position, road conditions and
road grade.

∙ Make sure that the back door(s) is se-

curely closed when backing up.

∙ Do not put anything on the rearview

camera. The rearview camera is in-
stalled above the license plate.

∙ When washing the vehicle with high

pressure water, be sure not to spray it
around the camera. Otherwise, water
may enter the camera unit causing
water condensation on the lens, a
malfunction, fire or an electric shock.

∙ Do not strike the camera. It is a preci-

sion instrument. Otherwise, it may
malfunction or cause damage result-
ing in a fire or an electric shock.

The following are operating limitations and
do not represent a system malfunction:

∙ When the temperature is extremely

high or low, the screen may not clearly
display objects.

∙ When strong light directly shines on the

camera, objects may not be displayed
clearly.

∙ Vertical lines may be seen in objects on

the screen. This is due to strong re-
flected light from the bumper.

∙ The screen may flicker under fluores-

cent light.

∙ The colors of objects on the RearView

Monitor may differ somewhat from the
actual color of objects.

∙ Objects on the monitor may not be

clear in a dark environment.

∙ There may be a delay when switching

between views.

∙ If dirt, rain or snow accumulate on the

camera, RearView Monitor may not dis-
play objects clearly. Clean the camera.

∙ Do not use wax on the camera lens.

Wipe off any wax with a clean cloth
dampened with a diluted mild cleaning
agent, then wipe with a dry cloth.

∙ Do not use alcohol, benzine or thinner

to clean the camera. This will cause
discoloration.

∙ Do not damage the camera as the

monitor screen may be adversely
affected.

If dirt, rain or snow accumulates on the
camera

display objects clearly. Clean the camera
by wiping it with a cloth dampened with a
diluted mild cleaning agent and then wip-
ing it with a dry cloth.

WARNING

∙ The air conditioner cooling function

operates only when the engine is
running.

∙ Do not leave children or adults who

would normally require the assis-
tance of others alone in your vehicle.
Pets should also not be left alone.
They could accidentally injure them-
selves or others through inadvertent
operation of the vehicle. Also, on hot,
sunny days, temperatures in a closed
vehicle could quickly become high
enough to cause severe or possibly
fatal injuries to people or animals.

∙ Do not use the recirculation mode for

long periods as it may cause the inte-
rior air to become stale and the win-
dows to fog up.

NOTE:

∙ Odors from inside and outside the ve-

hicle can build up in the air conditioner
unit. Odor can enter the passenger
compartment through the vents.

∙ When parking, set the heater and air

conditioner controls to turn off air recir-
culation to allow fresh air into the pas-
senger compartment. This should help
reduce odors inside the vehicle.

fan control dial turns the fan on

The air flow control dial allows you to select
the air flow outlets.

The temperature control dial allows you to

Air recirculation

Move the air intake lever to the

tion to recirculate air inside the vehicle.

HEATER OPERATION

Heating

This mode is used to direct heated air to
the foot outlets. Some air also flows from
the defrost outlets.

1. Move the air intake lever to the

position for normal heating.

2. Turn

fan control dial to the

desired position.

4. Turn the temperature control dial to

the desired position between the
middle and the hot position.

Ventilation

This mode directs outside air to the side
and center vents.

Defrosting or defogging

This mode directs the air to the defrost
outlets to defrost/defog the windows.

turns on (however, the indicator light will
not illuminate). In this position, the air con-
ditioner cannot be turned off. When the air
flow control is turned to any position other

continue operating). and can be turned off

midifies the air, which helps defog the
windshield.

Bi-level heating

This mode directs cooler air from the side
and center vents and warmer air from the
floor outlets. When the temperature con-
trol dial is moved to the full hot or full cool
position, the air between the vents and the
floor outlets is the same temperature.
