18. Install brake caliper as follows: a. Install caliper with bleeder at top (and cable NOTE Be sure that tab (stamped ABS) on clip is installed in slot b. Tighten mounting screws to 28-38 ft-lbs (37.9-51.5 After servicing brakes and before moving motorcycle, 19. Install new cable straps to secure brake hose and wheel speed sensor if equipped. 20. If ABS equipped, install front wheel speed sensor cable in clip. See . After servicing brakes and before moving motorcycle, 21. Operate brake lever several times to set brake pads to proper operating position. 22. See . Check brake fluid level in master cylinder reservoir. If necessary, add D.O.T. 4 BRAKE FLUID until 23. Verify gasket and sealing surfaces are free of debris and install master cylinder reservoir cover. Orient the cover with the vent holes facing the rear. Install cover screws in-lbs (1.1-1.4 Nm). After repairing the brake system, test brakes at low speed. 24. Test brake system. a. Turn ignition switch ON. Depress brake lever to verify b. Test ride motorcycle. Bleed system if brakes feel .
