SHIFT INDICATOR 

All Models (Except Blackwood) 

1. Remove the upper instrument panel steering column cover. Place the gearshift lever in the Drive position. 

Rotate the gearshift lever clockwise until it bottoms out (first gear), then rotate 2 detents 
counterclockwise (Drive position). Hang a 3 lb. (1.4 kg.) weight on the gearshift lever.  

2. Center the indicator in the middle of the "D" position by rotating the thumbwheel located on the bottom 

of the steering column. See Fig. 9 . Remove the weight and move the gearshift lever from detent to detent 
and compare with transmission settings. Readjust if necessary. Install the upper instrument panel steering 
column cover.

Blackwood 

Remove the lower dash panel. See Fig. 11 . Place the gearshift lever in the first gear position. Place the gearshift 
lever in the Drive position. This should be 2 detents from the first gear position. Hang a 3 lb. (1.4 kg) weight on 
the end of the gearshift lever. Center the shift indicator in the middle of the "D" by rotating the thumbwheel on 
the PRNDL cable housing. See Fig. 10 . Remove the weight from the end of the gearshift lever. Install the 
lower dash panel.
