DIAGNOSIS & TESTING 

ENGINE 

Refer to ENGINE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION for basic mechanical concerns or 
refer to SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - BI-FUEL - GASOLINE/CNG for driveability concerns. 

IN-VEHICLE REPAIR 

UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD

Removal 

1. Remove the engine air cleaner outlet tube.  

2. Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector.

3. Remove the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve assembly.

4. Remove the pushpin and the accelerator control splash shield.
