12. Position the cooling fan shroud bracket (2).  

13. Install the cooling fan shroud bracket bolts (1). 

Tighten: Tighten the fan shroud bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in). 

Tighten: Tighten the fan shroud bracket to engine block bolts to 58N.m (63 lb ft). 

14. Install the charge air inlet pipe. Refer to Charge Air Cooler Inlet Pipe Replacement .  

15. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac-N-Fill) or 

Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) .  

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR AND/OR SWITCH REPLACEMENT

Tools Required 

J 41712 Oil Pressure Switch Socket 

Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT: Clean the area around the sensor. Do not allow debris to 

enter the engine.

1. Remove the left wheelhouse inner panel. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement 

- Left Side (Chevrolet) or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Left Side (GMC) .  

2. Disconnect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector.

3. Using J 41712 , remove the oil pressure sensor (1).  

Installation Procedure

1. Apply sealant to the threads of the oil pressure sensor. Refer to Sealers, Adhesives, and 

Lubricants for the correct part number.  

2. Using J 41712 , install the oil pressure sensor (1). 

Tighten: Tighten the sensor to 49 N.m (36 lb ft). 

NOTE:
