8. Inspect the axial play of the 2nd speed gear. 

Specification: 0.0101-0.0355 cm (0.004-0.014 in)

9. Inspect the axial play of the 3rd speed gear. There are 4 retainer thicknesses to select from. 

Specification: 0.0101-0.0355 cm (0.004-0.014 in)

10. Install the gear train assembly.

11. Once the primary shaft assembly axial plays have been inspected, install the primary shaft 

assembly in the casing.
