1. Place the oil pump cover onto the oil pump body and put stator shaft through a hole in the 

bench.  

2. Install the pump cover bolts (233) finger tight only.

3. Install the J 21368 . See Special Tools. 

4. Tighten the pump cover bolts (233). 

Tighten: Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft). 

NOTE:

Refer to Fastener Notice .

5. Remove the J 21368 . See Special Tools.

1. Inspect the input speed sensor (ISS) assembly (250) for the following conditions: 

Cracked or damaged housing  

Worn, broken or missing harness brackets; replace the ISS assembly if necessary  

Damaged or worn wining or electrical connector  

Loose, missing or damaged mounting bolt insert

2. Remove the ISS O-ring (249) and discard.
